Beginning in Fall 2020, EMCC will be requiring students to have a laptop. If you do not have one, or need help getting one, you may work through financial aid to make that happen. Check your MyEMCC portal for more information, or contact emccfinaid@mainecc.edu with any questions.

Text Books
Payments for books and supplies are made directly to the Bookstore at the time of purchase. A bookstore credit application must be filled out on MyEMCC, the student portal. You will be able to purchase your books using financial aid in excess of your bill. The Student must provide the Bookstore staff with their account ID card.
Room and Board
Combined room and board charges for 2024-2025 are as follows:
On-campus housing:
- Double Room w/ 5 day meal plan, with activity fee and security deposit: ($2,541+$2,740+65+50) $5,396 per semester; $51.39/day
- Double Room w/ 7 day meal plan: ($2,541+$3,361+65+50) $6,017 per semester; $57.30/day
- 5-day meal plans do NOT include weekend meals
- Breakdown based on a 15 week semester, 105 day total
- A meal plan is mandatory for anyone living in residential housing on campus.
- Additional rates are in place for housing over break for students who are eligible for break housing.
- All residents are required to pay a $65 resident activity fee per semester and a $50 security deposit per semester.
Mandatory liability Insurance
The $13.00 fee per year for $1,000,000 malpractice liability insurance is mandatory for students in standard health occupation programs. The cost for $1,000,000 coverage for students in higher risk health specialty programs is $55.00 per year. This fee is not refundable.
