Most of us will need a hand at some point in our lives to help ourselves, a friend, a family member or someone else.
It’s hard for us Mainers to disclose that we need that helping hand and even harder for us to actually ask for help. The most difficult, but most important, part of getting help is asking for the help we need. We are very lucky that during times of trouble there are many people and agencies in our extended greater Bangor community ready to help. If you need help, ask. These people and agencies are here for us so we can be there for others when it is our turn to help.
It’s hard to know who to ask and what to ask. Brian Welsh is the EMCC Student Navigator. He can help you figure out the answers to those important first questions: Who do I ask? And, when I know who to ask, what do I say? Contact Brian at bwelsh@emcc.edu or 207-343-0878.
