Program Details

This program’s return to EMCC is anticipated for 2025! 

In partnership with Ancora Training, EMCC is offering a160-hour Class A CDL program which will provide students with hands-on training to operate tractor-trailers on the road and at pick-up & delivery points. This Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) complies with the standards set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and will prepare students to sit for the commercial driver’s license exam and begin a lucrative career in the transportation industry.


Program Schedule:

Multiple schedules will be available to meet the needs of students. 

Daytime Monday – Friday 4-week course
Evenings Monday – Friday 8-week course
Weekends 8-week course

Application Requirements:

  • 18 years of age by the start of the course
  • Maine state resident
  • Copy of high school transcript or equivalent completion certificate
  • Current & valid driver’s license

**Accepted applicants must be able to pass a ME DOT physicaldrug screen, and background check.**

**Applicants with current & valid CDL Permits could be fast-tracked through the admissions process.**
